Physical Properties of Bagalkot Shakti Cement
in comparison to minimum requirements for IS-455
1989 (Portland Slag Cement) & IS-8112-1989
Ordinary Portland Cement 43-grade. All vital parameters
are maintained well above the specifications
laid out by 'Bureau of Indian Standards'. |

The chemical composition of slag comprises of
Cao-38%, SiO2 - 34% and Mgo - less
than 8%, which confirms more amount of lime than
Silica required for highest hydraulic reactivity. Slag
reduces the water demand of Cement as a consequence
of the nature of the glassy surface and in turn
increases strength of concrete. |

|
The chloride values in Cement are less than 0.03,
makes concrete better resistant towards domestic
chloride attack & foreign chloride attack
(which are generally present in water and soil) |
